Exhibition “Liberation” by AUTARK
From April 1st to 3rd in 2022, the great exhibition “Liberation” by the artist AUTARK took place at Knesebeckstraße 10 in the Berlin district of Charlottenburg. He has been known for years from the graffiti scene and new large-format murals have been created all over the city. But at the exhibition, visitors were able to admire the other interesting art forms AUTARK can do. Beautiful paintings were shown, sculptures made from spray cans, small dioramas with graffiti models and impressive paintings on canvas.
The exhibition shows the creative world of the artist, but it is also a reflection and confrontation with himself and AUTARK addresses social problems in his works, but also difficult personal times. Unfortunately, far too little attention is paid to dealing with depression or psychological problems these days, and the strong criticism of the distance and destruction of nature is also a major concern for the artist. Man loses more and more connection to his environment, instead of preserving it, he exploits it and destroys it.
Interesting works were shown in a special dark room, which, equipped with lighting elements, shone colorfully in the dark. These works had two effects, with light and without light. With his exhibition, AUTARK showed how multifaceted and diverse he actually creates art and has been doing it for a very long time. Now it was time to show this to others.
